For agents

The privacy monitor your AI agents run

RegSentry watches the sites you ship for trackers, session replay, ad pixels, AI chat widgets and browser-side AI API calls that fire before a visitor consents or after they reject. Your coding agent, your CI and your scripts drive it through one API key: an MCP server and a REST API.

https://regsentry.com/mcpStreamable HTTP

Six public tools work with no key. Send Authorization: Bearer rs_live_... and the same endpoint adds 12 tools that operate your RegSentry account.

What an agent can do with it

Add a site and set its consent policy. Run a full scan or a deploy check on a preview URL and get pass, fail or inconclusive with the reasons. Read open findings with their observation dates, fetch the fix playbook for each tool, export the evidence report, and subscribe a webhook to regressions. Every result is a technical observation of what the browser saw, not a legal conclusion.

Quickstarts

Create a key first (see Get a key). The same key works for MCP and the REST API.

Claude Code

terminal

Adds RegSentry as a remote HTTP MCP server for your projects.

export REGSENTRY_API_KEY=rs_live_...
claude mcp add --transport http regsentry https://regsentry.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer $REGSENTRY_API_KEY"

Then ask Claude Code something like "Run a RegSentry deploy check on the preview URL and fix anything that fires before consent."

Cursor and other HTTP MCP clients

~/.cursor/mcp.json

Clients that support remote servers with headers take the URL and an Authorization header directly.

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "regsentry": {
      "url": "https://regsentry.com/mcp",
      "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer rs_live_..." }
    }
  }
}

Create an API key in your dashboard and store it securely in your client configuration.

Claude Desktop

claude_desktop_config.json

Local config entries run a command, so use the community mcp-remote bridge to reach the remote server with your key.

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "regsentry": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "mcp-remote", "https://regsentry.com/mcp", "--header", "Authorization:${REGSENTRY_AUTH}"],
      "env": { "REGSENTRY_AUTH": "Bearer rs_live_..." }
    }
  }
}

No key? Add https://regsentry.com/mcp as a custom connector in Claude's connector settings (or an OpenAI workspace's MCP connector settings) to use the six public tools.

curl

REST API v1

A deploy check on any public host you are authorized to inspect. Synchronous, up to about 45 seconds.

curl -s https://regsentry.com/api/v1/checks \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $REGSENTRY_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"url":"https://preview-123.vercel.app","policy":"standard","authorizationAcknowledged":true}'

# => { "check": { "status": "complete", "policy": { "result": "fail", "reasons": [...] }, ... }, "exitCode": 1 }

Full endpoint list on the API reference, machine-readable at /api/v1/openapi.json.

Tools your agent gets

Public tools (no key)

Inspect the public homepage you name after confirming you own it or are authorized to inspect it. Runtime inspection also requests public resources loaded by that page; GET requests can have remote effects. No account or stored scan is required.

ToolWhat it does
inspect_site_trackingStatic read of one authorized public homepage: tracker references and consent signals. Runs no JavaScript and stores nothing.
inspect_runtime_consentThree isolated browser visits (before consent, after reject-all, after accept-all) recording known tracker request attempts. Missing controls are reported as untested.
interpret_consent_evidenceGrades request observations you supply by consent phase. Makes no network request and stores nothing.
compare_consent_observationsCompares two runtime snapshots of the same domain phase by phase and marks unresolved phases.
export_consent_reportFormats a runtime snapshot as a dated plain-text report with method, observations and limitations.
get_remediation_playbookConsent-gating steps for a named tracker from RegSentry's maintained playbooks.

Account tools (with Authorization: Bearer rs_live_...)

They operate your own RegSentry account through the same service layer as the REST API. What a key can do depends on its scope and your plan.

Get a key

  1. Sign in and open the owner dashboard. Find the API & agents card.
  2. Name the key (one per agent, repo or machine is easiest to revoke) and pick a scope: read; read + scan to add sites and run scans and checks; or read + scan + manage to also remove sites and manage webhooks.
  3. Copy the rs_live_... token. It is shown once. Store it as REGSENTRY_API_KEY or a CI secret.

Up to 10 active keys per account. Revoke a key from the same card at any time. Keys are rate limited to 300 requests per minute each.

What each plan unlocks

The public MCP tools and the free homepage scan need no plan. Account access follows the plan on the key's account. API runs count scans and deploy checks started through the API, MCP or CI.

Example prompts

Add shop.example.com to RegSentry with the standard policy and turn on monitoring.

Run a deploy check on https://preview-123.vercel.app. If it fails, show me what fired
after reject and apply the RegSentry playbook for each tool.

What changed on my sites this week? List new findings with their observation dates.

Export the evidence report for shop.example.com and summarize the limitations section.

Create a webhook to https://hooks.example.com/regsentry for consent.regression and check.failed.

Boundaries

QuestionAnswer
What does it visit?Scans visit public pages of the host you name. Deploy checks visit the HTTPS homepage of the exact hostname you name, with no credentials, non-default port, path, query or fragment. Runtime checks load the homepage in three isolated browser sessions, click supported consent controls when found, and block non-GET requests. Page scripts and controls may make public GET requests, which can have remote effects. No user credentials are supplied.
What comes back?Which known trackers attempted requests in each phase, counts, timings, the policy result and its reasons. No cookies, query values or request bodies are returned.
Who may be checked?Sites you own or are authorized to test. Exact hosts that are not on your account, including www aliases, need an explicit authorization acknowledgement.
What does a fail mean?The observation did not meet the policy you chose. It is a technical finding about network timing, not a legal conclusion, a compliance certification or proof of liability.
What does inconclusive mean?Something needed for the policy was not observed, for example no reject control was found, so that phase stayed untested. Treat it as unknown, not as a pass.

Wire it into your agent today

Start with the public tools on any site you own, then add a key when you want monitoring, deploy checks and evidence on your own account.
